Kontoyiannis House is a traditional Cyprus village house from the period before the 1890's. It has thick stone walls, lots of windows, built around a central courtyard with beautiful stone arches and wooden shutters which are a feature of Cypriot architecture. In summer the cool courtyard is filled with grape vines and a riot of colour in the scattered flower pots. In winter it becomes a warm suntrap for a peaceful lunch. The house plan is ideally suited for a self-catering holiday in Cyprus We offer 4 large self-contained apartments or we are happy to accept bookings for the entire villa, an ideal solution for several families holidaying together in Cyprus. | Our traditional stone built family house in Kalavasos village, in Larnaca district of Cyprus is about half way between Limassol and Larnaca. We are very near Zigy and Zigy Marina with its popular fish tavern and Governors beach with its secluded beaches and restaurants. We are very near most major towns on the island. | ||||||

The house is very near the village square and all amenities. Kontoyiannis house has its own secluded courtyard offering peace and privacy to its occupants - each apartment has its own private patio or balcony. There is a barbecue area and traditional Cypriot oven in the courtyard available for all guests. Kalavasos is a short 5 minute drive to Zigi Marina and 7 minutes to the popular but secluded Governors beach with wonderful local restaurants. Also located in the village are numerous restaurants and outdoor eating places. Kalavasos also has its very own wellness center at the Library Hotel which is just off the village square, where our guests can go and pamper themselves at discount prices! |
Walk along the river and enjoy the frog chorus, you can even hear it from the house in the evening.

News Flash - We have added a new location to our Village and Beach apartments, a hideaway villa in the mountains. Many families like to take their annual holidays in one long extended break but what may be restful for parents does not always keep the younger family members entertained. Chris' combination holidays offer the ability to provide variety and something to suit for all the family members.

There is also a covered hallway with armchairs which is very comfortable!
